Fees for uncontested divorces start at $99 plus court costs with no children/property, $499 plus costs in cases with property but no children and $799 plus costs in cases with children. BANKRUPTCY AND DEBT RELIEF Fees for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, which can eliminate most debts, stop lawsuits and garnishments, halt foreclosures, and stop collection calls, and give you a fresh start, are fairly inexpensive. Average legal fees are usually about $950 (add about $250 for couples). Court costs are $306.
